Technology ownership, industrial execution, fuel markets access, and strategic governance — combined in a team with a proven track record of delivering results.
CEO & Founder
José founded IncBio in 2006 — the Portuguese industrial engineering firm that designs, engineers, and manufactures the modular pyrolysis systems behind PYROCY. Over nearly two decades, IncBio has delivered more than 100 industrial projects globally — including pyrolysis, thermochemical conversion, and modular refinery systems — building a reputation for reliable, skid-mounted plant design and feedstock pre-treatment expertise.
José is the technical architect of the operating facility in Portugal — the asset that proves the PYROCY model at industrial scale. He brings deep hands-on experience in skid-mounted system design, pyrolysis process engineering, commissioning, and operational management.
As CEO of PYROCY, he leads technology deployment, project engineering, and the global replication strategy — ensuring every new project is built to the same proven standard as the operating plant.
Co-Founder
Karl brings 18 years as CEO in sustainable biogenic fuels — having constructed and operated biorefineries across five countries. He understands both the technical complexity and the commercial realities of deploying industrial-scale energy infrastructure in diverse geographies.
Prior to his work in sustainable fuels, Karl spent 20 years as a technology CEO with successful exits including acquisitions by Microsoft and DHL. He served as Head of Global Climate Strategy at DHL, giving him a rare combination of enterprise-level ESG credibility and direct investor relations experience.
Karl brings the institutional governance standards that underpin PYROCY's bankable project structures.
Co-Founder
Christian brings 28 years of aviation and fuel sector experience with BP — including as CEO of BP Middle East & Africa and Managing Director MEA for Air BP. He has spent decades managing large-scale fuel supply chains, offtake structures, and commercial partnerships across some of the world's most demanding energy markets.
His current advisory roles with BP Ventures and HyCap in Abu Dhabi reflect his position at the intersection of traditional fuel markets and the emerging energy transition — exactly the space where PYROCY's circular fuel products compete.
Christian provides PYROCY with direct access to global fuel offtake networks, institutional capital in the Gulf, and commercial structuring expertise that underpins every project's product marketing strategy.
PYROCY's founding team brings together what most industrial ventures lack in a single group: the engineers who built the technology, the operators who run it daily, the fuel markets executives who know how to sell the output, and the institutional leaders who know how to structure it for investment. That combination is the platform.
PYROCY's technology is designed, engineered, and manufactured by IncBio — a Portuguese industrial engineering firm with a 100+ project track record in bioenergy and modular refinery systems since 2006.
IncBio builds skid-mounted systems engineered for reliability, automation, and rapid on-site installation. The same team that designs PYROCY systems also operates the existing plant — giving PYROCY a rare integration of technology ownership and live operational expertise.
